From February 2 to 9, 2026, the skies of Valle del Cauca will be filled with color and excitement during the Americas Cup Roldanillo, an international FAI 2 paragliding competition that will bring together more than 100 pilots from different countries.
The event is organized by local pilots Jorge Presiga and Sebastián Herrera, with the endorsement of the Roldanillo Free Flight Club and the support of the Municipality of Roldanillo, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and international recognition.
This championship consolidates Roldanillo as the world capital of free flight and serves as a key driver for the regional economy. During the competition, the arrival of pilots, technical teams, tourists, and international media generates a direct economic impact in sectors such as:
Accommodation in hotels, hostels, and rural guest houses.
Local gastronomy, with restaurants, cafés, and family businesses benefiting from increased visitors.
Ground transportation and logistics services, essential for moving pilots and equipment.
Cultural and nature tourism, as visitors complement their stay with tours around Valle del Cauca, handicrafts, and local experiences.
The Americas Cup Roldanillo 2026 is much more than a sporting event: it is an international showcase for Roldanillo and Valle del Cauca, boosting the economy, strengthening local businesses, and positioning the region as a prime destination for adventure, nature, and cultural tourism.
